Monte de Pinos
(mountain of pines) is an exclusive hillside development of
traditional Spanish Country Villas set in the pine
slopes, olive and almond groves of Cervara del Maestre.
A small traditional hilltop town near the coastal
resort of Peniscola on the Costa Azahar.

Castellon, is the northern most
province of the Valencian region where the sun shines for
more than 300 days a year. Where the Mediterranean laps the 120km
shore between the towns of Tarragona and Valencia.
Here the awesome inland
landscape of the mountain ranges slope down to the beautiful
coastline of the
‘COSTA DE AZAHAR’.
The
‘COSTA AZAHAR’
runs the length and breadth of the province accommodating numerous
towns and villages such as Vineros, Benicarlo and the
historic town Peniscola.

Travelling
south along this coastline, Peniscola will surprise you with
open natural spaces now safeguarded from the usual urban
development.
Here the Mediterranean Sea pervades
every nook and cranny of this coastal town, dominated by the
historic castle where the epic film ‘El Cid’ was made, and ancient
Spanish culture pervades.
With its shape described as ‘a boat stranded at
sea’ to its narrow winding streets of white houses appearing to
slide down to the sea, restrained only by the ancient solid city
walls, this castle town is a gem of natural beauty.
